plant hire brand
Merlo
Best known for rotating telehandlers, which do jobs a fixed-boom machine cannot and command a different hire rate for it. A specialist choice rather than a general fleet default.

How Merlo compares
These are the makes buyers actually cross-shop against Merlo.
Merlo vs Manitou
A telehandler specialist cross-shopped directly against JCB Loadall and Merlo. Strong in agriculture as well as construction, which widens who hires one.
Merlo vs JCB
The default British plant make and the one hire customers ask for by name. Fleets buy JCB because operators already know the controls, parts turn up quickly and residual values hold, which matters more to a hire business than any single spec on the sheet.
